Real text, not formatting
Most chat apps and social platforms have no underline button. This tool gets around that by appending Unicode combining marks (U+0332 low line, U+0333 double low line, U+0305 overline) after every letter. The marks render as horizontal lines under or over the letter — but it is real text, so it survives copy and paste into Instagram, Discord, Twitter/X, game tags, and most other Unicode-friendly apps.
When to use each
- Underline — the most natural-looking, like a typed-out underline. Best default.
- Double underline — heavier emphasis; useful for titles or callouts.
- Overline — a line above the text instead of below. Aesthetic for headers and math-style notation.
